Food Plot Acreage Calculator

In order to figure out how much fertilizer and seed you will need for your food plot, calculate your total food plot acreage below. First, choose which shape best represents your plot. Type in your measurements, in yards, and click on the submit button. This will give you your total acreage.

Once your acreage is established you will be asked to enter your soil test results in order to calculate your fertilizer quantity.



Rectangle or Square


If your plot is rectangular or square use this calculator to find the area of your food plot. Enter the length of two adjacent sides, (a) and (b), in yards.

If you have a circular food plot enter the diameter (a) below in yards to find your total plot area.

Trapezoid



If your plot is irregularly shaped, you should use the trapezoid area calculator to find the area of your food plot. Enter the distance between the two sides that are most parallel (w), and the length of the two other sides, (a) and (b), in yards.
